Then, in the list of all the programs, I scrolled down towards the bottom where all the Bootcamp drivers are (meaning the Windows Driver Packages). I selected the Apple SD Card Reader driver (if you cant find it, just search Apple SD in the search bar at the top right), and then clicked UninstallChange. Then I tried inserting an SD card into the reader, and it worked It automatically installed a separate driver called Broadcom SD SCSI Disk Device. Have you tried redownloading the Apple BootCamp drivers and installing the drivers manually (If you havent and want to know how, I can walk you through it.). Tried almost everything i could, reinstalled Windows, reinstalled Bootcamp drivers, uninstalled Apple SD Card driversBroadcom SD Card drivers, tried manual installation of SD Card drivers, but no luck. SD Card Reader is working properly if I dont use my laptop for 2-3 days but, it is not working if I use it every day. I also reinstalled windows 10, Apple SD Card Driver, Bootcamp, etc. Previous to windows 10.1 I was experiencing the SD card dropping off after sleep, but after Windows updated I am now experiencing this on every boot: in device manager I get this every time: If I uninstall that unknown device, it resintalls just like that again. Ive tried updating bootcamp drivers to the latest ones available several times. Ive tried the suggestion in the post above to try without the apple SD card driver. None of them work. Are other people getting the same on Windows 10.1 Read the other discussion youll see talk of a particular Broadcom chipset. I thought Id focus on the latest manifestation of the problems which is in this ticket here with Anniversary Edition I made the point that a lot of us have the bug, therefore seeing all these forum posts is more important than my particular hardware spec See the bug ID and the text of my bug entry below. The issue got progressively worse with the release of Windows 10, and now with the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition (1607 release) the SD Card is inoperable: on boot we receive Set Address Failed (see last link for latest post) and no known workaround exists. On older versions of windows you may experience a lesser issue that still renders your SD card unreadable.
